The Challenge
As a brand new concept with no pre-existing web presence, Lonely Dog needed to distinguish itself as a unique stand-alone attraction in Orlando, Florida. To achieve this, they required the help of an experienced web design and creative agency to build a website that would reflect the interactive nature of their brand.

Our focus was to blend their artistic, whimsical story into a tailored marketing strategy. As established visionary leaders with decades of experience in projection mapping and immersive experiences, the Lonely Dog team proved to be open to marketing experimentation and quick pivots to get results. Through weekly consultations, we collaborated to generate new ideas and business strategies, including creating a new website that showcased their interactive art installations with engaging animations, consistent visual marketing materials, and a targeted SEO approach. Leveraging our experience in the tourism industry, we helped Lonely Dog successfully connect with local vendors and service providers, which resulted in generating leads for corporate events and driving traffic for groups and tours.

Lonely Dog needed a way to independently generate promotional materials. Our solution was to create a branded InDesign template with a strong foundation that allowed their team to easily tailor promotional content for each of their events. We honed in on their brand image to showcase the immersive exhibits, event images, and 3D-inspired art to offer visitors a tangible glimpse into the world of Lonely Dog.
Billboards
Being a new concept, Lonely Dog needed to gain mass visibility that would capture attention and set itself apart from other Orlando attractions. In our consultations, we suggested strategically positioning a billboard in a high-traffic area. Quick to lean into this, the Lonely Dog team left our designers to capture elements of their immersive experience into a billboard with bold typography and visuals that created a 3D-like appearance. After the billboard’s unveil, the venue saw a direct increase in ticket sales and organic foot traffic.

UX Design & Wireframing
As a stand-alone attraction, Lonely Dog needed a website that not only did justice to their venue’s cutting-edge immersive technology but also promoted user interaction to drive sales. Our UX designers focused on creating a framework that showcased the exploratory nature of Lonely Dog, involving intuitive navigation, engaging touchpoints, and call-to-actions that encouraged website interaction. Integrating images, videos, and animation placements into the wireframe ensured the website would visually guide users through the journey of Lonely Dog and provide visitors with an increased understanding of the venue’s selling points.

UI Design
To effectively showcase Lonely Dog as a whimsical venue, we wanted to seamlessly blend Lonely Dog’s artistic elements into a functional design. We incorporated immersive graphics, hover animations, animated WebP images, and rotating media carousels that captured user attention but could potentially alter functionality. However, these elements had the potential to alter the website’s functionality. To resolve this, we optimized all images and videos to ensure proper desktop and mobile functionality without risking media quality.
Development
Rich with animations and imagery, the website required a robust yet user-friendly platform to allow their team to independently manage content themselves. Our solution was to develop a WordPress website that was optimized for handling extensive media while maintaining ease of customization using specific fields. This development approach resulted in a responsive and visually engaging website, that was practical for real-time event updates.

Lonely Dog was brand new and wanted to stand out in Orlando’s competitive tourism market. To boost its visibility and attract a targeted audience, we implemented an SEO-focused digital marketing strategy. We optimized the website’s content and structure to include optimized keywords, resulting in a high ranking on Google Maps and increased search engine visibility. We also provided strategies for the team on the ground to capture reviews from all happy customers.
