The Challenge

Aquabanas faced a pressing need to enhance its digital presence and reposition itself as a luxury brand within the yacht industry. To achieve this, they required the expertise of an experienced Orlando-based web design agency to build a high-end website that effectively showcased their product lines, rejuvenated their online identity, and addressed specific areas of improvement.

The Aquabanas team joined forces with Brandcoders to help develop a digital marketing strategy that included a revamped website, a refreshed visual identity, and an SEO-driven approach to solidify their position as a leading brand in the luxury yacht accessory market.

Marketing Strategy & Positioning

Our focus was to harness and elevate their existing strengths through a strategic marketing approach. This included refining their brand identity, creating sustainable processes for growth, web development, and a targeted SEO strategy. In eight hands-on workshops, we collaborated with their team to define buyer personas, organize product categories, and develop a web blueprint tailored to resonate with their luxury clientele, ensuring Aquabanas stood out distinctly in its niche.

For Aquabanas, a strategic marketing approach was paramount to elevate their brand presence in the digital space. Central to this strategy was a robust focus on Search Engine Optimization (SEO). By optimizing content, keywords, and website structure, we aimed to increase organic visibility, ensuring that potential customers could easily discover Aquabanas when searching for luxury inflatable products.

Brand Development

Logo & Visual Identity

While Aquabanas already had a distinctive logo, there was potential to refine it to better align with their expanding brand vision. Our design team worked with Aquabanas to pinpoint and adjust subtle details, like kerning inconsistencies, to enhance the logo’s clarity and visual appeal while maintaining its foundational elements. Their improved logo was a stepping stone for the development of comprehensive brand guidelines.

Brand Guidelines

To align Aquabanas’ visual identity and its place in the luxury market, our team helped develop a cohesive set of brand guidelines to establish uniformity across all touchpoints. We introduced specific color palettes and curated typography choices that were intentionally chosen to reinforce and elevate the brand’s image and help it stand out in the industry.

Product Catalog

Aquabanas had released several new product lines and needed to update its catalog before a major trade show. Recognizing challenges presented by the previous catalog’s structure, we worked with their team to develop sustainable processes that would automate tedious tasks associated with large catalogs and create more consistency. Our solution was to categorize products based on buyer personas, execute a consistent design, create an automation strategy, and provide training to Aquabanas’ team so they could easily update their product offerings using a properly functioning InDesign template.

Spec Sheets

Though the catalog was a great solution for a prospective buyer looking to browse for toys, it was not the best solution to utilize when a buyer wants more information on a specific product. Aquabanas had a series of specification sheets, but the branding was mismatched and there was no consistency in layout or design between the products. We conceptualized and generated branded, consistent specification sheets for all of their products, integrating the brand guidelines, color schemes, and typography to further align with Aquabanas’ renewed visual identity. Tailored descriptions, iconography, features, and complete product specifications for every product facilitated clear communication and information sharing for potential B2B sales clients.

UX Design & Wireframing

Considering Aquabanas’ clientele is primarily B2B, and given their wide range of products, quick and easy access to important information like imagery sizes and other usage specs was essential. Extra focus was placed on the desktop viewport to support this audience and ensure they could find what they were looking for in two clicks or less. Our solution was to create a mega menu that showcases the product range with image previews to ensure products were easy to find and understand.

UI Design

After finalizing the wireframes, our design team focused on the website’s user interface. We introduced design elements like soft, pillowy effects and subtle dynamics to highlight the brand’s distinct features. A prominent shade of solid blue was incorporated into the design to create a  visual connection between the water and Aquabanas’ unique identity. We also ensured the navigation was user-focused, integrating compelling calls-to-action and animated imagery to enhance user engagement.

With an expansive product line, Aquabanas required a robust, scalable, and responsive web infrastructure. To implement this, our web development team architected and deployed five integrated systems, optimizing both frontend performance and backend functionality.
